INTRODUCTION TO CICSEP
|
The China International Conference of Science and Education Producers (CICSEP) was founded by the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) in 2000. Held once every two years, CICSEP has now been successfully presented seven times.
CICSEP is hosted by the China Science Film and Video Association, which is directly managed by CAST. CICSEP includes a prestigious international program competition (the China Dragon Awards) as well as stakeholders’ forums dealing with the newest science and science-education ideas and programs. Pitching sessions were introduced at CICSEP in 2010. This initiative was designed to promote innovation in marketing in the field of science and science-education programs, and to encourage exchange and development on an international basis.
Since its inception, CICSEP has been consistently supported by prestigious professionals and organizations at home and around the world. Companies and broadcasters from more than 20 countries and regions participate, including ABC, BBC, CBC, CCTV, Discovery, INA, KBS, NGC, NHK, NHNZ, RAI and ZDF who are among CICSEP’s long-term associates and friends. Some of CICSEP’s jurors and speakers (and even buyers) are drawn from these organizations. CICSEP is sincerely grateful to all these collaborators in the circle as we share the same ambitions and purposes. Without this collective dedication, CICSEP would not be such an influential event in the field, garnering much attention and positive acknowledgement by industry professionals.
CICSEP was founded in 2000, and the year 2014 witnessed the presentation of the eighth edition during September 19-22, 2014 in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province. As usual, 2016 CICSEP will continue presenting the China Dragon Awards, stakeholders’ forums, master classes and marketing . We are looking forward to continuing the consistent aid and support from our dear friends. We also welcome new participants to attend this year’s event. Sincerely we invite you to support CICSEP by sending us your entries in the program competition; or by submitting proposals for the Pitch meetings with Chinese and international buyers and experts; or simply by being part of the Conference, sharing your stories with the outstanding and talented leaders in the field.
Let’s do this together to promote the production and marketing of science and science-education programs, hence spreading to information to benefit the scientific civilization of mankind.
