The 9th China International Conference of Science & Education Producers (CICSEP 2016) will be held in mid September, 2016. CICSEP was founded by China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) and is hosted by China Science Film and Video Association（CSFVA）.

The “China Dragon Awards” are an integral part of CICSEP and rewards outstanding documentaries and programs for public education (including documentaries, animations & experiment shows) in the fields of science and science-education from around the world.

The Awards are open to all producers and broadcasters, and CICSEP cordially invites you to participate in this prestigious competition. The guidelines are as follows:

Award Categories

The 2016 “China Dragon Awards” have six categories:

Nature & Environment                                                  Science Knowledge Show

Science Documentary (more than 30mins)                               Science Knowledge Animation

Science Documentary (no more than 30mins)                            Science Fiction Film

Six Gold, twelve Silver and eighteen Bronze Awards will be selected from all entries by the Judging Committee. In addition

, the Judging Committee may issue special awards for extremely excellent programs.

With participant consent, selected award-winning programs will be included in a broadcast exhibition on TV networks or the Internet in China.

THE DEADLINE FOR ALL ENTRIES IS AUGUST 10, 2016.

Submission Requirements

Only programs first broadcast or publicly released after JULY 1, 2014 are eligible.

No Entry Fee applies. In each category, each participant can submit at most one program.

For each participating program, the followings are required:

• 1 completed and signed Registration Form (form attached). Please also email an electronic version of the Form to cicsep@cast.org.cn. Registration Form can be downloaded from www.cicsep.com

• 2 x DVD copies (PAL format) with English soundtrack or English subtitles.

• Please also email an electronic version of the script to cicsep@cast.org.cn.

• 1 x 60 second trailer for use in CICSEP promotional programs.

• Production photos

Participants are invited to submit other press materials to support their entries.

In the event that trailers are not provided, the Organizing Committee shall be entitled to use 1 minute of content from each submitted program for promotional purposes.
