The 7th China International Conference of Science & Education Producers 2012 (CICSEP) will be held in Yuyao, Zhejiang Province, China between 12~15 October, 2012. CICSEP was founded by China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) and is hosted by China Science Film and Video Association（CSFVA）.
The “China Dragon Awards” are an integral part of CICSEP and rewards outstanding documentaries and programs for public education (including documentaries, animations & experiment shows) in the fields of science and science-education from around the world.
The Awards are open to all producers and broadcasters, and CICSEP cordially invites you to participate in this prestigious competition. The guidelines are as follows:
Award Categories
The 2012 “China Dragon Awards” have six categories:
l Nature & Environment
l Science Discoveries
l Technological Inventions
l Stories of Scientists
l Science Education (not limited to documentaries)
l Science Magazines
The best programs in each category will be rewarded with one Gold, two Silver and three Bronze Awards. In addition
, the Judging Committee may issue special awards for extremely excellent programs.
With participant consent, selected award-winning programs will be included in a broadcast exhibition on TV networks in
THE DEADLINE FOR ALL ENTRIES IS JULY 31, 2012.
Submission Requirements
Only programs first broadcast or publicly released after JULY 1, 2010 are eligible.
No Entry Fee applies. In each category, each participant can submit at most one program.
For each participating program, the followings are required:
l 2 completed and signed Registration Forms (form attached). Please also email an electronic version of the Form to cicsep@cast.org.cn. Registration Form can be downloaded from www.cicsep.com
l 2 x DVD copies (PAL format) with English soundtrack and/or subtitles and/or electronic script. An inclusion of electronic script would be appreciated very much.
l 1 x 60 second trailer for use in CICSEP promotional programs.
l Participants are invited to submit production photos and other press materials to support their entries.
In the event that trailers are not provided, the Organizing Committee shall be entitled to use 1 minute of content from each submitted program for promotional purposes.
