The 11th China International Conference of Science & Education Producers is presently scheduled to be held in late September, 2020 in the city of Shenzhen, China. The “China Dragon Awards” ceremony is scheduled to be held concurrently. CICSEP cordially invites you to participate in this prestigious competition.
Because it's New and promises to be China's Premier Science and History Documentary Conference.
You might already be keen attendees of the World Congress Science & Factual Producers or Realscreen Summit. China International Conference of Science & History Producers is the first conference of its kind to be held in China. CICSHP plans many opportunities for professional development, marketing, networking and collaborative discussion for documentary producers from China and around the world.
CICSHP has been adapted from the well-known "China Dragon" Awards, a highly regarded science film festival and film competition that has endured for eight years in China. But it is now time to include the world. This new conference will strive to maintain the excitement and history of documentary competition in China but with new faces and a new program of events.
So "Why should doco producers come to CICSHP given the number of similar events held in North America and Europe?" China's Science and History documentary filmmakers feel the uniqueness of CICSHP is rightly focused on opening up Chinese and Asian documentary communities and documentary markets. It offers a different take on a mix of documentary broadcasters, filmmakers, buyers, programmers, distributors and commissioning editors that we hope will come from around the world to talk and deal in docos and co-productions.
China has had a reputation as "challenging" for foreign filmmakers, not just with language and culture but also a different work culture in program making.
CICSHP has decided to combine the competitive tradition in China for excellence in filmmaking with an open invitation to the world to discuss how excellence on screen can be achieved through a 'shared vision' and collaboration.
The conference is endeavouring to create an atmosphere of "communication and exchange". Its great hope is to provide every possible avenue and service to achieve a meaningful connection between attendees.
A priority is that language will at no time be a barrier to understanding. To achieve this conference organizers have put in place an outstanding team of interpreters who will be central to the operational success of the conference.
Conference participants will very quickly become used to the friendly, efficient and fluent interpreters, whom along with a massive number of on conference workers; will help to provide excellent opportunities for cooperation and connection.
CICSHP welcomes you all in 2020.
